Glitter Girl Class Questions


  • Is it mandatory to attend class each week and do I need to notify GCD if my child will be absent?

    No. It is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged to get the most out of the program. 

  • What are the Glitter Girl class expectations?

    Glitter Girls must always treat each other and their instructors with respect!  We want to have fun just as much as you do! Make sure you are listening to your instructor and not mingling with friends during practice time, that way we can play a fun game before dismissal. 


    If your child does not behave in class, we will make attempts to speak with their legal guardian. If the behavior continues, your Glitter Girl MAY be dismissed from class. 

  • What should my child wear to class each week?

    Glitter Girls must wear appropriate gym attire. (t-shirt, shorts or leggings and tennis shoes)

    • Please put your Glitter Girl's hair in a ponytail, if possible.
    • No jewelry allowed during class or performances.
    • You may bring a water bottle. NO SNACKS!
  • What happens if I am late picking up my child?

    Children should be picked up PROMPTLY at the end of practice. If you are 10+ minutes late, a late fee will be added to your parent portal account within 24 hours.


    If you are continuously late, it may result to dismissal of the program. Thank you in advance for promptly picking up your student(s).

  • Cancelled or missed classes... How does that work?

    If your child misses class due to sickness or in the event of a school closing, there will be NO MAKE-UP DAYS and tuition will NOT be adjusted or refunded.  If more than 2 days are missed due to inclement school weather closures, we will do our BEST to add an extra day to the end of the year, or host a make up day at Turnstone Athletic Center. 

Tuition & Uniform Fee Questions


  • How do I pay my child's monthly GCD tuition?

    Please log into your parent portal account to submit your child(s) tuition payment. 

    Monthly tuition fees are added to your account at the end of each month for the upcoming month. Tuition is due by the 5th of each month. You must keep a credit card or debit card on file so we can process your payment on the 5th of each month by 10am. 


    Please note: If you have paid all program fees in full, this does not apply to you. Thank you!

  • What happens if I am late paying my child's tuition and uniform fee?

    TUITION

    Please pay promptly to avoid late fees. A $5 late fee will be added to your account (per week, per student) if your payment is received late.


    UNIFORM

    All uniform payments are due by October 5th. If paid after this date, a $25 fee will be assessed and added to your parent portal account. 


    Please mark your calendar and plan ahead.

  • What is your refund policy for monthly tuition and mandatory uniforms?

    All tuition and mandatory cheer package fees are non-refundable. 

  • May I have my uniform refunded if my child can not attend the events?

    No. Once purchased, all mandatory uniforms are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • What is your summer camp refund policy?

    Summer camp is NON-REFUNDABLE....NO EXCEPTIONS. If you register and chose to cancel your student's spot, no refund will be given to you. 


    Please be sure that you would like your Glitter Girl to participate before registering. 

Mandatory Cheer Package Questions


  • Do I have to purchase a uniform?

    Yes. Uniform packages are mandatory for each student, every year.

  • When are mandatory uniform payments due?

    All uniform payments are due by October 5th. If paid after this date, a $25 fee will be assessed and added to your parent portal account. 

  • I selected the wrong size uniform...May I exchange it?

    There will be no guaranteed uniform exchanges unless we make an error on our end. We will purchase a limited amount for uniform errors. 


    Otherwise, we will do our best to swap uniforms between girls. Please view the size charts to accurately select your daughters size.

  • Does pom poms come with my daughter's mandatory cheer/dance package?

    Pom poms are included in the mandatory cheer package for NEW students only. All returning students may use their prior pom poms.  


    If you are a returning student and misplaced your poms or need a new set, please purchase them online in our Glitter Shop.

  • What is included in my daughter's mandatory cheer/dance package?

    Mandatory packages include: performance top, performance bottoms, an accessory item(s), pom poms for new students only and event fee.

Additional Questions


  • What are your business hours?

    We have new office hours. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday, 10-5pm. We are only available by email on Fridays. 

  • Does my child have to attend the events?

    Yes. Attending the GCD Showcase and GCD Recital are mandatory. Our Glitter Girls have worked hard and some have partner dances. We appreciate your attendance in advanced.  

  • Can I get a full refund?

    All payments; tuition, mandatory uniform fees, late fees, summer camp fees, spirit wear and other misc. fees  are NON-REFUNDABLE

  • I haven't received any information about events, uniforms or anything. Can you help me?

    Weekly emails are sent every Monday by noon for all active family accounts in our system. This is our main source of communication with our families. Please be sure to not opt out of our emails and check your spam box if need be to locate our emails.  

  • Is buying spirit wear from the Glitter Shop optional?

    Yes. All spirit wear purchased through our online shop, The Glitter Shop Cheerleading CO., are all OPTIONAL purchases and NON-REFUNDABLE. 

  • I can't afford the program for my child. Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

    At this time, GCD does not offer any assistance to pay for program fees.
